OptiMate Lithium LFP Select is the ideal choice for high-performance 12.8V (4s) and 16V (5s) LiFePO4/LFP batteries requiring temperature-controlled, reliable, fast and fully automatic charging. Perfect for 12.8V/16V LiFePO4/LFP batteries between 2.5 and 200Ah. Power saving standby mode. Total electronic protection against errors.
Special features
Battery SAVE (recovery) mode: performed from 0.5 V with continuous monitoring of charge acceptance or cell status (depleted or inadequate). This prevents unnecessary (and unsafe) charging of a battery in poor condition.
safeT°: automatic adjustment of the charging current in the charger depending on the ambient temperature. Reduced charging in sub-zero temperatures and no charging if temperature is below –20°C / –4°F (may damage lithium batteries).
Ampmatic: the microprocessor adapts the current to the ideal LiFePO4 charging curve according to the size and condition of the battery so that the charge is as complete and fast as possible.
Protection against incorrect voltage selection: With 16V selected and a 12.8V (4s) battery connected, the OptiMate 7 LFP Select will immediately warn that a low voltage has been detected and will not begin charging. The USER must verify that the nominal voltage of the connected battery is 16 V (5 s) before the SAVE mode is activated. During this mode, the load curve is monitored; If the battery is smaller than a 16V Series 5 battery, charging will stop.
